PATRIOTIC ART CONTEST
Theme: 250 Years of Stars and Stripes Our country is celebrating its 250th year. Throughout the years, our flag may have changed slightly, but the Stars and Stripes
have always been a constant symbol of our nation. This year, we invite our patriotic art contest participants to help us create our own presentation of the Stars and Stripes.
Participants are asked to design their own star using the template provided or one of their own. Star designs should represent our nation or our military in any way the
participants see fit.

Award for each category 1st Place $40, 2nd Place $25, 3rd Place $15

TO ENTER:
  • Email submission to rbednarczyk89@gmail.com by Sunday, August 9th and include your First & Last Name, DOB, and City in which you live. Please use “Patriotic Art Contest” in the subject line. Please also include best contact information.
  • Paper or Canvas (8.5 x 11)
  • Materials allowed: Watercolor, Colored Pencil, Pastel, Charcoal, Tempera, Crayon, Acrylic Paint, Pen, Ink, Oil, or Marker.
  • With submission include a short explanation of the meaningful message of the artwork (with exception of the 2-5 year old age group)
  • Creator MUST enter the correct age category , and include a valid DOB with submission
  • To have artwork displayed on the fairgrounds, all artwork must be brought to the main office by Tuesday, August 11th. All winners MUST bring their artwork to the main office by Tuesday August 11th or have the prize forfeited.
  • Contact information of a parent or guardian for each participant is REQUIRED.

Category #1: Ages 2-5: Coloring Contest
Directions: Color the provided star template (below) or choose from one of the other coloring sheets provided
Category #2: Ages 6-9 and Category #3: Ages 10-13:
Directions: Choose to use the provided star template (below) or create their own and design such to represent our great nation. Please include a small index card with a brief description of your design. This may include an explanation of certain details, the inspiration behind their design, or any information they would like to include to help the judges learn a bit more about their designs.


DISPLAY INFO: We request ALL participants to drop off their artwork at the main office on Tuesday, August 11th to be displayed outside the main office of the fairgrounds.

PRIZES: The veterans and active military members of the fair committee, or their delegates, will choose and announce winners by Monday, August 10th. ALL winners MUST bring their original artwork to the fairgrounds on Tuesday, August 11th. If it is not received, winners will forfeit their prize. Cash prize will be awarded to all winners within each category in addition to an award and complimentary family 4 pack of tickets for admission into the fair on Thursday, August 13th. Winners will have their artwork displayed on Thursday August 13th at the fair and will be presented with their award on Thursday August 13th at 6:30 PM. All winners MUST BE PRESENT to receive their award that night.
